JAMMU: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) MLA Ashwani Kumar today raised the failure of the state government to provide compensation to the victims of mine blasts along Indo-Pak border, and later staged a walkout from the House.
During Zero Hour in the Assembly, Kumar drew the attention of the Speaker towards the issue and the state government’s failure to grant compensation to them.
He said that due to mine blasts along the border areas, scores of people have been injured and many have become handicapped, but the government has failed to grant compensation to them and address their problems.
He sought reply from the government over the issue, and later staged a walkout from the House due to failure of the government to reply to his query. (AGENCIES)
