DB directs to file status report

JAMMU, Feb 20: In a letter turned Public Interest Litigation filed by differently abled person (visually handicapped) practicing Advocate Suraj Singh seeking in-depth/thorough investigation in the infamous sexual exploitation of mentally challenged girls at Rotary Inner Wheels Home at Channi Rama Jammu, today a Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed appearing for the PIL whereas Senior Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra appearing for the State and also going through the status report filed by Deputy Commissioner observed that the averments made in para 4 of the status report, for various posts interviews are fixed in last week of February 2014.
It has also been brought to our notice by referring to a communication dated 21.12.2013 that two teachers, one cook and one peon have already been selected. Accordingly, both the teachers have joined but one of them had left the job. At present one teacher, one cook and one peon are in place and directed that the status report be filed after conducting interviews and also directed Registry to list this PIL on March 20, 2014.
