RAJOURI, Mar 13: Three members of a family including husband, wife and minor daughter were injured in an incident of lightning in Shahdara Sharief area of Thannamandi tehsil in Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that the injured were referred to GMC Rajouri after first- aid at Thannamandi hospital. They said one Ghulam Ahmed, a resident of Shahdara Sharief, was in the field near his house with his family members when suddenly Ghulam Ahmed, his wife Noreen Akhtar and their 2-year- old daughter Rozia Kousar got injured due to sudden lightning.
As soon as the news of this incident was received, SDM Thannamandi Abid Hussain, Tehsildar Thannamandi Sayed Mazahir Ali and SHO Thannamandi Inspector Hilal Azhar reached the spot and immediately took the three injured to the Thannamandi hospital, where after first- aid, the doctor referred them to GMC Rajouri.
Medical Superintendent of GMC Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Ahmed said that the treatment of all the three victims is going on in GMC and their condition is stable.
