DODA, Mar 13: Police here today arrested an absconder after 11 years.
The absconder Om Raj, son of, Jagdish Raj, resident of Chill Assar, District Doda was wanted in a case of FIR number 243/2013 under Section 457/380/201 RPC registered at Police Station Doda.
He was declared as absconder by the Court of Law and a general warrant of arrest under Section 512 Cr.PC was issued against him.
The absconder was evading arrest since 2013 and to arrest him a special team was constituted which was headed by ASI Mushtaq Ahmed of Police Station Doda under the guidance of SHO Police Station Doda Inspector Padam Dev Singh and Dy. SP Hqrs Doda, Ajay Anand and under the overall supervision of SSP Doda, Javaid Iqbal.
The team tracked down the absconder and finally arrested him from Bhala, Bhaderwah.
He shall now be produced before the Court for trial.
