REASI, Mar 14: Police have confirmed the arrest of all three accused in multi-crore scam in Sub-Treasury Darmari.
The Excelsior had exclusively reported that a case FIR number 19/2024, under section 409/420/477-A IPC was registered in Police Station Arnas in connection with the fraud and loss to Government exchequer of Rs 1.38 crores in Sub Treasury Darmari.
According to SSP Reasi, Mohita Sharma, main accused Ali Hussain Shah, son of Azam Hussain Shah, resident of Shergarhi, Tehsil Chasana, A/P Bandi Mahore, who had gone underground after committing the fraud, has been arrested. He was MTS Assistant, Sub Treasury Dharmari.
Two other accused, namely Ajeet Kumar, son of Punjabu Ram, resident of Rayala, Tehsil Pouni, Reasi (Assistant Treasury Officer, Sub Treasury Darmari) and Balbir Singh son of Kirpa, resident of Kotli Lajpat Tehsil Bhomag, A/P Geeta Nagar, Reasi (Account Assistant) have also been arrested for involvement in the criminal conspiracy of the act committed.
