JAMMU, Mar 15: Members of the J&K Private Schools Association, Jammu, called on Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma and apprised him of their problems and demands.
While briefing, members said that to prevent exploitation of the students by the unrecognized schools, the Directorate should facilitate smooth transfer of the students from one recognized school to another and confirmation of result of all private schools should be done on the fixed parameters by all the CEOs/ZEOs of Jammu division.
The delegation demanded an order for confirmation/ counter signatures of result of all private schools by all the concerned CEOs/ZEOs of Jammu division based on the fixed parameters as early as possible.
The PSA also demanded display of lists of the schools which are not recognized before the commencement of new Academic Session i.e. before 01/04/ 2024 on all the official websites so that parents can migrate their children in the Government/ recognized private schools at the beginning of the academic session.
The Association also demanded orientation programmes to promote the proficiency of the teachers serving in the private schools at all district head quarters through DIET to support the main objective of education at the grass root level for the effective implementation of National Education Policy 2020.
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation for immediate redressal of their grievances.
The members who comprised the delegation included Ajay Gupta (President JKPSA, Jammu), Ajay Singh(Vice President JKPSA Jammu) and Gaurav Charak (Publicity Secretary JKPSA Jammu).
