SAMBA, Mar 18: An impressive function was organized by the Private Schools of District Samba under banner of the J&K Private Schools Association, in which Chairman Kamal Gupta was the chief guest.
This function was organized by Krishen Singh, newly elected District President of Samba. More than 150 delegates from boarder, urban, semi urban, rural and Pahari areas of the district participated and discussed their teething problems.
While speaking, members highlighted their problems which included alleged irresponsible attitude of JKBOSE and School Education Department toward the private schools in granting recognition / affiliation.
They said that most of the departments which are authorized by the Government for the issuance of NOCs to the private schools needed for the recognition / affiliation usually harass the private schools owners on one pretext or another.
President of the Private Schools Association Ajay Gupta, while addressing the gathering, said that although matter to establish single window clearance system to facilitate the private schools was highlighted several times, the Government was hell-bent to discourage and degrade especially the owners of the small private schools.
“Delay in granting recognition/ affiliation by the authorities, tagging of the students of private schools with the Government schools due to the non availability of recognition/ affiliation has become a proxy war against the small private schools by the Government to increase the enrollment in Government schools and in the CBSE schools,” he alleged.
