JAMMU, Mar, 18: Associate Professor in Urdu, Dr. Yash Paul Sharma was unanimously elected as staff secretary of Government Degree College (GDC), Kathua.
The election process was conducted during a meeting of all staff members where name of Dr. Sharma was proposed by Dr. Ram Singh, Associate Professor and Head Department of Education and it was seconded by Prof. Ravinder Kour, Associate Professor in Physics. All the staff members present in the meeting unanimously accepted the proposal and the name of staff secretary was announced by Dr. S.K Karlupia, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Geology.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sharma assured to work with honesty, dedication, zeal and enthusiasm to render his services for the welfare and betterment of the staff members and for the development of the College.
Principal of the College, Prof. Seema Mir, Dr. R.K Pandita, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Zoology, senior faculty members Prof. Jagdish Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Jasrotia, Prof. Gurdial and Prof. Neelam Bhagat also spoke on the occasion.
Proceedings of the function were conducted by Dr. R.K Manhas, Associate Professor in Botany.
