Speeding Mahindra overturns in Ghagwal, 7 injured

SAMBA, Mar 18: Seven people were injured when a speeding Mahindra load carrier overturned near Sandbadi in Ghagwal in Samba district today.

The Mahindra vehicle coming from Punjab towards Samba went out of control as soon as it reached Sandbadi in Ghagwal this morning, after which it overturned hitting the barricades installed on the side of the road, resulting in injury to seven passengers. The injured were admitted to District Hospital Samba for treatment.
According to the information, all these people had gone to a Dargah of Gurjar community in Chandigarh, Punjab and this accident happened while returning. Around 15 people were travelling in the Mahindra car, out of which seven people were injured. On receiving the information, police reached the spot with the help of local people and took the injured to District Hospital Samba.
The injured were identified as 55 year old Ghulam Ali, son of Firoz Din resident of Bishnah, district Jammu, 53 year old Bano Babi, wife of Dudu resident of Bari Brahmana, seven year old Vishu Ali, son of Dudu resident of Bari Brahmana, 70 year old Jamila Babi, wife of Kasim Ali resident of Vijaypur, 55 year old Babi, wife of Salam Deen resident of Vijaypur, 50 year old Bano Babi, wife of Munir Hasan resident of Saror Adda, 35 year old Shashi Pal, son of Maniram resident of Uttar Behni district Samba. In this context, the police have registered a case and started further investigation.
