RAJOURI, Mar 19: The police today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest from Thannamandi area in a case after 16 years. A general warrant was also issued against him by a local court.
The arrested accused has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi, son of Allah Ditta, resident of village Plangarh. A team of police from Thannamandi, under the supervision of SHO Thannamandi Hilal Azhar and SDPO Thannamandi, Viqar Rasool Butt arrested him from Tangmarg area of Kashmir.
He was evading his arrest since 2009 and a general warrant of arrest U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him by the local court in case FIR No. 49/2008 U/S 498-A RPC. The absconder shall now be produced in the court of law.
