Srinagar, Mar 20: The two-day International Conference on ‘Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation’ concluded at Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar today.
Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, Prof. Qayyum Husain, was the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony. He delivered the presidential address on the occasion.
The lead talk of the conference was delivered by Prof. Patrick Colm Hogan from the University of Connecticut in virtual mode.
Prof. (Dr.) Manisha Priyam, Professor, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, Ministry of Education, Government of India, also addressed the gathering in virtual mode.
She spoke about the important role of colleges in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Qayyum stressed the importance of multidisciplinary research and innovation for sustainable and holistic development.
He said Cluster University Srinagar is committed to promoting multidisciplinary research in its constituent colleges.
Earlier, the Principal of the host college, Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Jan Kanth, briefed the guests about the main highlights of the 2-day event.
Others who spoke on the occasion included senior officials of Cluster University Srinagar, including Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone; Registrar, Prof. Syed Wilayat Hussain Rizvi; and Controller Examination, Prof. Khursheed Ahmad Mir.
Prof. Rashid Ashraf Malik moderated the proceedings of the event while Dr. Abina Habib presented the vote of thanks.
