JAMMU, Mar 21: Wagh Bakri Tea Group the group, selling best quality tea, contributed to the health sector through its CSR initiatives and donated a blood collection, transportation van in a function held here today.
Wagh Bakri Tea Group, supported Muni Seva Ashram by donating state of the art, blood collection and transportation van, which will travel to villages and surrounding industrial area for blood donation drive to meet the requirements of hospital.
The van was officially offered to public by Raseshbhai Desai (Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group) in presence of sales partners of Wagh Bakri Tea Group and Dr Vikram Parel (Managing Trustee Muni Seva Ashram) and staff of Muni Seva Ashram
Speaking on the occasion, Parasbhai Desai – Executive Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group expressed satisfaction for contribution to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of healthy India.
He said that the van will play a role for the treatment of cancer patients by organizing blood donation drive and will give opportunities of improving the health of cancer patients. Wagh Bakri Group feels immense pride in collaborating with one of the best cancer hospitals in the area.
Kailash Cancer Hospital and Research Centre run by Muni Seva Ashram provide specialized cancer treatment at affordable rates for patients. The hospital has a facility for bone marrow transplant for blood cancer treatment. In addition, the hospital conducts numbers of cancer surgery everyday, which require supply of fresh blood and blood component on a daily basis.
