SRINAGAR, Feb 22: Governor N N Vohra, the Chancellor Kashmir and Jammu Universities, has appointed Prof Talat Ahmad as Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University for another term of three years beginning June 1, 2014.
A KU spokesman said Professor Talat Ahmad, an acclaimed scientist of international repute assumed charge as Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir on June 1, 2011.
Since June 2011, Professor Ahmad has worked hard for the progress and development of the University and has brought it on the national and international scene.
