Course on juvenile justice commences at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: A three-day course on “Juvenile Justice (Child Care & Protections)” commenced at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) here today.
A statement said that 18 police officers of the ranks Sub-Inspector to Inspector participated in the training course designated to sensitize the police officers regarding various legal provisions of protection, care, and rights of the children.
During his course inaugural address, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor) SKPA Udhampur, laid stress on the emerging challenges in the field of juvenile crimes.
He also laid emphasis on the adoption of the innovative methods to curve the menace.
The course is being coordinated by Sukhvir Singh, DySP, Assistant Director (Admin), assisted by ASI Ashok Kumar, member faculty.
