JAMMU, Mar 23: A drug peddler was arrested with banned contraband from RS Pura area here today.
A police spokesperson said during routine naka at Bhagwati Brick Kiln Agra Chak Road, a pedestrian was stopped for checking.
On search of his belongings, he said, the police party recovered 55.09 grams of banned contraband substance from his possession.
The accused identified as Mohammad Rashid alias Shidu of Ward Number 4, Simbal Camp, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 53/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
