JAMMU, Mar 23: The members of Forum of Recognised Colleges (FORCE) today expressed serious concern over the survival of B.Ed. Colleges.
In this regard a meeting of FORCE members was held here in which the problems faced by them, in their day to day working were discussed.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of S. Harbans Singh, former Minister and the President of the FORCE.
The members deliberated upon the various issues which included the irregular and delay in the admission process, steep decline in the intake of admission seekers and involvement of NCTE, after our state has been brought to the level of UT.
It was felt by all the members that a deliberate attempt is being made by the university authorities, to discourage the management of the B.Ed. Colleges, so that they are closed down at the earliest.
The members also urged upon the vice chancellor of Jammu University, for his personal intervention for the survival of the Colleges of Education.
