JAMMU, Mar 24: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against privatization of Power Development Department (PDD).
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who claimed that 80 per cent power connections of poor families in Jammu city have been disconnected and threatened massive protest if the same were not restored within 24 hours.

“Even after paying power bills the power supply was not restored for days together and even no paper bills or receipts were given to the consumers. Where the money is going,” he maintained adding, “Smart Prepaid Meters are running fast and bills are delivered again and again while many poor families have simple mobile phones which do not support apps to pay power bills online.”
Rekha Devi, Shoba Rani, Shakuntla, Poonam, Rani Devi, Rajinder, Tarsem Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Rinku, Brahmu, Raju Kumar and many others were also present in the protest demonstration.
