POONCH, Mar 24: A theft incident was reported at Ward number 13, Mohalla Sheesh Mehal in Poonch on which J&K Police has taken the cognizance.
Living on rent, head of the family retired Subedar Mushtaq Hussain said that they actually hail from Nabna, in Mankote area of Mendhar and are currently residing here. “We went to our village after exams of our children and came back after admissions start here. Neighbours called me and said that the doors of your house are open, our children came and saw that locks were broken, I went to Police Station Poonch and a team of police came and started investigation.”
It was found that two Exide batteries were stolen. One Mobile phone, Rs 5000 cash in locker and some more items were also taken away by thieves, he added.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
