SAMBA, Feb 23: MLA Vijaypur Surjeet Singh Slathia today laid foundation stone for construction of building for Indian System of Medicine (ISM) Dispensary at Smailpur which would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs.28 lakhs.
He also inaugurated Medical Camp organized by Indian System of Medicine.
Speaking on the occasion, Slathia said that the Omar led Coalition Government is committed to provide the better medical facility to the people at their doorsteps.
The people of the area submitted a charter of demands to the MLA regarding change of poles and old electric wires.
Responding to their demands, Slathia assured them that the work for change of old poles and wires would be initiated soon.
He also assured them that the other demands like construction of lanes and drains will also be taken up soon. He directed the concerned engineers to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply for the convenience of the people of the area.
Among others, Panchs, Sarpanchs and Director ISM, Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar also present on the occasion.
