MENDHAR, Feb 23: A villager was mercilessly beaten up by some people and allegedly thrown half dead into a nallah at Uchhad village.
The victim has been identified as Haji Mehmood Ahmed (55), son of Shah Mohammed of Uchhad. The villagers spotted the man lying in the nallah and shifted him to hospital. Some land dispute was said to be the reason behind the attack. The police has identified the accused as Nissar Ahmed, Javed Iqbal and Mohd Tufail of the same area. An FIR has been registered in this connection.
Two more persons were injured in a group clash over land dispute at Thera village in Mendhar. They were identified as Master Mohd Taz and his son Jahangir. Police has taken cognizance.
