Air defenses down 18 air targets approaching Russia’s Belgorod city

MOSCOW, Mar 27 : A Russian air defense system has shot down 18 air targets over the city of Belgorod and the Belgorod district on their approach to the city, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Wednesday, adding that one person suffered shrapnel wounds.

 

“Our air defense system has activated over Belgorod and the Belgorod district; 18 air targets have been shot down on their approach to the city. According to disaster medicine, there is one victim: a man has suffered shrapnel wounds in the lumbar region. An ambulance team is taking him to city hospital No. 2; all necessary medical treatment is being provided,” Gladkov said on Telegram.

 

The governor added that in the Belgorod district, after air defenses repelled an air attack by the Ukrainian armed forces, several houses and vehicles received various damages in the villages of Dubovoye, Tavrovo, and Nikolskoye.
