JAMMU, Mar 29: With an aim to enhance the transportation and distribution of horticultural products, the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing handed over the first Refer Van to Sanjay Chopra, Proprietor of Shiva Dairy Product in a function held here today.
In this regard a function was organised here under the able guidance of Director Horticulture and the event was graced by AGMO Nitasha Mahajan.
The Refer Van, equipped with state-of-the-art refrigeration technology, marks a major milestone in improving the quality and shelf life of horticultural products during transportation.
This initiative aims to strengthen the agricultural supply chain and ensure that the consumers receive fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables.
AGMO Nitasha Mahajan expressed his delight in launching this innovative program, emphasizing the importance of efficient transportation in horticulture.
