JAMMU, Mar 30: Renowned artist, K.K Gandhi was given a rousing welcome at Rome airport by Dr. Anna Peretti, Art Director CIAC for International Rome Art Biennial along with her team.

Dr. Anna described Gandhi as an internationally acclaimed artist.
She further mentioned Gandhi’s expertise in capturing the spirit and essence of landscapes or subjects by incorporating natural light, color and moments.
In a press conference with reporters of Italy and a meeting with eminent artists, Michela Bordoni, Head Councilor of Terni, introduced K.K Gandhi’s art journey.
Prelude to Gandhi’s participation in International Rome Art Biennial, he was taken to famous places of Terni, the first Marmore Waterfall and Pro Loco Lake where it was a challenge for him to make two plein air paintings in full view of tourists around and organizers of the event and the crowd was overwhelmed by seeing the on spot live creativity of Gandhi.
The Forest Art Museum of the Waterfall vicinity immediately added the painting as a permanent collection for their Museum.
Gandhi was honored and decorated by the Museum authorities for his noble gesture.
At Pro Loco, Lake Gandhi’s work was applauded by the large crowd assembled there.
A local artists’ union of that area presented a memento to Gandhi along with many gifts from art lovers.
At the valedictory function at Centro Internazionale Artisti Contemporanei (CIAC) on March 23, an art exhibition of selected artworks of 56 artists was displayed in the prestigious heritage art gallery of Terni, a Suburban Town of Rome.
It was a proud moment for Jammu that besides Gandhi’s painting, artworks of two Jammu artists-Lovesh Sharma and Vikas Dogra found place in the exhibition though they could not make their presence there.
At Capacious Auditorium and Gallery of the Museum, Gandhi made a live painting on the dice of the auditorium in the presence of Dr. Giuseppe Chiovaro, National President of CIAC, Rome, Stefano Bandecchi, Mayor of Terni, Michela Bordoni, Head Councilor of Terni and the public offered him standing ovation.
In his presidential address, Dr. Chiovaro highly eulogized the art creativity of K.K Gandhi and later on Dr. Chiovaro presented him a memento and certificate of merit.
