JAMMU, Mar 30: Dr Sunil Gupta, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, conducted a surprise inspection at Police Station Lakhanpur, scrutinizing various facilities including the MHC room, cyber cell, Malkhana, Havalat, and complaint registers.
Emphasizing cleanliness, he urged the SHO and staff to maintain the station and surroundings.
Stressing on security, he instructed for heightened vigilance against smuggling and theft, especially of bovine and narcotics.
Dr Gupta mandated prompt redressal of public grievances, with a focus on women’s complaints.
He underscored the need for attention to road accidents, land disputes, and kidnappings.
He also directed enhancements to the beat system and nakas in preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
