NCB arrests 4 smugglers with 11 kg of Charas

SAMBA, Mar 30: The team of Zonal unit Jammu of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested four drug smugglers with a huge consignment of Charas in Ghagwal of Samba district on Saturday morning.
NCB, in the presence of First Class Magistrate (Naib Tehsildar) Jagdev Singh, has recovered 11 kg 300 grams of Charas from the accused and has also seized a car with Gujarat number GJ 18 EA/0002, in which the accused hid the consignment and was travelling to Srinagar. NCB said that the team had information for a long time and action has also been taken on the basis of specific information.
It said today, at around 7 am in the morning, NCB stopped the vehicle of drug smugglers at Tapyal naka under Police Station Ghagwal. After searching, a large consignment of Charas was recovered from the vehicle after which the accused were arrested. The accused have been identified as 32 year old Natish Bagham, 28 year old Sahil both resident of 49 Diggvijay Plant Jamnagar Gujarat, 53 year old Firoz Bhatti resident of Meena Data Durga Jamnagar Gujarat and 30 year old Yasem resident of Kogha Ghar Civil Society Jamnagar Gujarat.
The NCB team also confiscated the mobile phones of all four whose records are being scrutinized.
