RAMBAN, Mar 30: Bodies of the nine accident victims who lost their lives on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday after the vehicle they were onboard fell into a deep gorge near Battery Chasma were shifted to the mortuary of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu last night.
SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Vijay Kotwal said after completing legal formalities, Police handed over the body of the driver of the ill fated vehicle to his family members while other 9 bodies including one person from Uttar Pradesh and 8 from Bihar were shifted to the mortuary of GMC Jammu by an ambulances last night.
Sources informed that family members of deceased persons were informed in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and they are likely to reach Jammu on Sunday evening.
SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar said that bodies of all the nine deceased persons are kept in mortuary of GMC Jammu and would be handed over to their legal heirs after proper identification on their arrival to Jammu.
