SVMM Charitable Hospital facilitates cancer patients for specialized treatment

JAMMU, Mar 30: Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Amphalla Jammu has achieved another milestone in cancer navigation program in collaboration with UHAPO.
“The hospital has pioneered to expand the treatment facilities for patients and in this process, the diagnosed cancer patients are being navigated to the prime leading Cancer institutes in Mumbai and other parts of the country, said a handout,” said management committee members of the hospital, while addressing a press conference, here today.
SVMM Charitable Hospital has entered into an agreement with an organization namely UHAPO, to assist, guide and facilitate cancer patients in the entire Jammu region for specialized treatment facilities in Mumbai and other parts of the country.
In collaboration with UHAPO, this program of navigating the patients who are suffering with the deadly disease of cancer are being provided with all sorts of facilities like arrangement of stay , check up, emotional and social support.
Under this program, the cancer patients and survivors including care givers in Mumbai and other parts of the country are being provided rehabilitation facilities like matrimony, job placement, Cancer awareness programs etc.
Introducing the new program, Anil Gupta (President of SVMM) said that the new facility will be of immense benefit to cancer patients requiring specialized treatment. “The healthcare facilities at the hospital are being upgraded to provide modern medicare to needy patients at subsidized cost. We are continuously striving to offer patient-centric healthcare, with compassion and are improving the quality of services in the hospital. We want to provide the best quality treatment to Cancer patients. Any Cancer patient in need of treatment can come here and we will assist him; it is open to all people of the State. Together, we are dedicated to ensure that every individual affected by cancer receives the support and care they deserve,” he said and added that the assistance program will be started under the supervision of a specialized Doctor having expertise in the related ailments.
