JAMMU, Mar 31: Social activist Dr. Preeti Bhagat here today organized a free medical camp at Dablehar. During the camp, Dr. Preeti and her team conducted free checkups of more than 100 patients and distributed medicines to them.
The villagers said that Dr. Preeti organizes medical camps in same village every week and by getting checkups done in such camps, they remain aware of their health otherwise they do not have facilities to get their health checkup done.
Dr. Preeti said that passion for social service has been in her mind since the beginning and she wanted to do something for the society.
“This was the purpose for me to join the medical profession and now I am serving the people through this profession,” she maintained adding: “Such camps will continue in future too.”
Dr. Preeti Bhagat also gave tips to the people to stay healthy without medicines.
She said that if one follows a good routine and maintains proper eating habits, one can stay safe from diseases to a great extent.
