UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: An elderly woman among two pedestrians was injured in separate road accidents, here today.
A Tata Sumo vehicle hit an elderly woman who was walking on road side near Kaldi area of Udhampur. Locals took the injured to PHC Kaldi where doctors referred her to District Hospital Udhampur. She was identified as Kamla Devi (62), wife of Shiv Kumar of Kaldi Udhampur.
In another accident near Manwal, an unknown vehicle hit a pedestrian, identified as Sudesh Kumar (23), son of Hansh Raj of Battal Balion Udhampur. The injured was shifted to hospital and his condition was stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, a youth namely Ajay (20) son of Romesh Kumar of Sayal in Udhampur, consumed some poisons substance at his house. Family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained.
