JAMMU, Feb 25: Nurboo Gialchan, Member Legislative Council, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Gialchan briefed the Governor about the various difficulties faced in the Ladakh region in executing development programmes. He also informed the Governor about the status of some of the important Centrally Sponsored Schemes, functioning of Panchayats and problems of connectivity in the remote and far off areas etc.
Mr. Gialchan also briefed the Governor about the preparations being made for organizing “Kalchakra-2014” in Ladakh in the coming summer.
Farooq Renzu Shah, Chairman Kashmir Society also called on Mr Vohra.
Mr. Shah briefed the Governor about his latest initiatives in the literary, spiritual, historical and cultural arenas. He also informed the Governor about the social and political developments in the society.
Appreciating Mr. Shah’s literary contributions, the Governor wished him high success in educating the society at large.
