Members raise issues of public importance

JAMMU, Feb 25: As many as 35 Members raised the issues of public importance in the Legislative Assembly during the Zero Hour.
Harshdev Singh demanded introduction of Land Acquisition Law in the State, enabling the owners of the land whose land is acquired by the Government to get suitable compensation.
Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta demanded issuing State Subjects to Safai Karamcharis who hail for outside the State. Ashwani Sharma called for issuance of Dogra certificates to youth for enabling them to apply for recruitment in Police and Para-military forces.
Hakeem Mohammad Yasin raised the issue of sale of sub standard pesticides in Valley and demanded check on such sale. A. R. Veeri demanded clearance of passports of the kin of those involved in militancy activity.  Shamima Firdous advocated for immediate starting of works of Barbarshah Bridge.
G.M. Saroori demanded regularization of daily wagers in various departments. Dr. Shafi Ahmed Wani demanded filling up of vacant posts of Zonal Education Officer and posts of Principals in Khag area. Bharat Bushan demanded strengthening of educational infrastructure in ST schools.  Aijaz Ahmed Jan demanded a resolution on the construction of Railway project for Rajouri-Poonch. Nizam-ud-Din Bhat demanded steps for improvement in power infrastructure in Bandipora. Indu Pawar advocated for opening of Women College for Marh Block. Balwant Singh Mankotia demanded immediate construction of Subash Sports stadium in Udhampur.  Ashok Khajuria urged the Government not to use the Parade sports stadium as parking lot for Government vehicles which hampers the sports activities.
Ch. Zulfikar Ali and Krishan Chander Bhagat called for early filling up of posts of teachers in their Constituencies.  Mir Zahoor Ahmad raised the issue of truck unions of Shar and Wyon villages who are being deprived by the truckers of Khrew to carry on the business activities in industrial area khrew. He demanded immediate redressal of the issue.
Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat demanded expeditious completion of widening of Satwari-R. S. Pura road. Bimla Luthra demanded special reservation for women folk in recruitment and special sanitation drive in GMC Jammu.  Mohammad Sharief Niaz demanded for age relaxation for ReT teachers and their regularization. Yash Paul Kundal called for maintain promotion quota for SC/ST in Government Departments.
Mohammad Khalil Bandh demanded immediate acquisition of land for establishment of Fruit Mandi at Pulwama.  Ashok Kumar demanded for improvement of power infrastructure in Ramban area. Master Lal Chand demanded filling up of vacant posts in horticulture department in Bani Constituency.
Advocate Abdul Haq Khan demanded regularization of daily wagers in Rural Development Department. Charanjeet Singh urged the Government to appoint Liaison Officer of Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) at New Delhi for pursuing DPRs of various power projects.  Jagdish Raj Spolia demanded posting of Basholi youth at Ranjit Sagar Dam.  Mushtaq Ahmad Shah called for adequate supply of CA&PD ration quota in the far-flung areas of Tral Constituency. Durga Dass demanded for establishing more water supply schemes in the uncovered areas of his constituency. Baldev Raj Sharma demanded immediate repair of electric transformer in ward no. 6 in Katra.
Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan, Dr. Mustafa Kamaal, Syeed Bhashrat Bukhari, Mohammad Ashraf Ganai and Peer Mansoor also raised the issues of public importance.
