MUMBAI, Feb 26: The 30 scrip index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) remained strong for the fourth day today advancing by 53 points to 20,905.49 following gains in Bankex, Capital Goods, Auto, IT and FMCG stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) moved up by 14.80 points to 6,214.85.
The sensex recorded intra day high and low at 20,939.27 and 20,860.02 points respectively.
The Nifty registered intra day high and low at 6,222.90 and 6,202.10 points respectively.
The scrip including Gail India, Sun Pharma, Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra spurted in the opening trade. However, selling in Realty and Metal slightly seen weak.
The gainers were Gail India by 1.79 pc to Rs 363.80, Sun Pharma by 1.42 pc to Rs 627.40, Wipro by 1.15 pc to Rs 602, Mahindra and Mahindra by 1.08 pc to Rs 953.70 and SBI by 1.07 pc to Rs 1522.80.
The losers were SSLT by 2.64 pc to Rs 174.95, Coal India by 2.05 pc to Rs 241.30, Tata Steel by 1.37 pc to Rs 355.95 and Tata Power by 1.11 pc to Rs 80.05. (AGENCIES)
