Govt forms committee to monitor Central schemes

JAMMU, Apr 4: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a committee for monitoring the progress of various Centrally sponsored schemes/projects and other developmental indicatives undertaken in the Union territory.
Headed by Santosh Dattatreya Vaidya, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, the committee shall regularly monitor/review the schemes like PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, National Central Sector Scheme (NCSS), Development of 46 New Industrial Estates, Identification & implementation of projects in PPP mode in Tourism sector.
Further, it shall identify the bottlenecks in the implementation of schemes and suggest measures for timely resolution besides ensuring coordination amongst various departments/ stakeholders for better implementation of schemes and expeditious completion of projects.
The 10-member committee, comprising Administrative Secretaries of various departments, Commissioner SMC/JMC and representative from PDD, shall submit a monthly report to the office of Chief Secretary J&K.
