Promote Inspectors to fill vacancies of DySPs: Jugal

JAMMU, Feb 26:  Several Members raised the issues of public importance in the Legislative Assembly today.
Jugal Kishore called for steps to promote Inspectors as DSPs in order to fill the vacancies created due to promotions of DSPs in the Police Department.
Balwant Singh Mankotia raised the issue of accident that took place on Udhampur-Ramnagar road resulting in road blockade. He urged the Government to take immediate steps to re-open the road. Harshdev Singh demanded establishing degree college at Majalta saying that the area caters to 9 high secondary schools and fulfils the norms for college.
Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan demanded expeditious compensation to the victims of border firing while as M Y Tarigami demanded regularization of Vocational Instructors engaged in various ITIs across the State.
Prof Chaman Lal Gupta advocated stringent measures to regulate traffic in Jammu city while as Krishan Chander Bhagat demanded Tehsil status for Ghordi in Chenani area. Syed Bashir Ahmed demanded posting of doctors and para-medical staff on vacant posts in Rajpura constituency.
Nizam-ud-Din Bhat demanded adequate and expeditious compensation to the families affected due to Krishan Ganga project in Bandipora. Syed Basharat Bukahari sought clarification from the Government on the expenditure shown on the security vehicles of Er Rashid. He alleged that the House has been misled on the issue as the member has not been using the Government vehicle for the last couple of years.
Bimla Luthra called for strict implementation of welfare schemes for women. Ashok Kumar demanded adequate compensation for land acquisition cases in Ramban area. Shafi Ahmed Wani demanded early posting of doctors/para medics selected under NRHM in his constituency.
Yashpaul Kundal alleged that benefits of Roshini Act are not reaching to the deserving people and demanded setting up of District Level Committees to look into the matters. Prof Gharu Ram sought compensation for the families of R S Pura who suffered loss due to flood waters of Balol Nallah and Tawi in rainy season.
Peer Mansoor Hussain demanded regular posting of Munsif in Shangus. Ch Zulfikar Ali demanded replacement of RGGVY electric transformers in his constituency which have been damaged in recent months.
S S Slathia raised the issue of Safai Karamcharies who are on strike in various NACs and sought steps to address their problems. G M Saroori demanded expeditious compensation for the victims of various incidents in his constituency.
Dr. Mustafa Kamaal, Hakim Mohammad Yasin, Rashpaul Singh, Haq Khan and Er. Abdul Rashid and Abdul Razzaq Joura also raised the issues of public importance.
