DODA, Apr 5: Launching scathing attack on the BJP and its leaders in the Jammu and Kashmir, former MP and Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency, Ch Lal Singh today alleged that the Saffron party has spoiled both human and natural resources of the Jammu and Kashmir.
The State of J&K has been dismantled and further demoted into two UT’s, something unseen and unheard in the history of the Indian Nation and that all happened in the saffron brigade,” Ch Lal Singh said while addressing public rallies in Thathri area of district Doda.
“No state in the country has ever been reduced to the status of Union Territory except J&K as a part of weird experimentation conducted by the BJP Govt treating the erstwhile state as a workshop. Not only that, the people have been deprived of popular rule. The Constitution of India which assumes a democratically elected Govt to run the affairs of its varied administrative units is being brazenly defied. The proxy rule of the Centre has been imposed upon the people of J&K through a handful of blue-eyed bureaucrats and defanged experts requisitioned from other parts of the country and hardly having any stakes in the betterment of the UT or well being of its people,” Ch Lal Singh asserted.
The ‘Babus’ sitting in Delhi enact legislation for J&K which is extended to the erstwhile State without taking into account the aspirations of the people. The system exhibited explicit signs of collapse with no takers for the voices of sanity fighting for justice, equity and fair play. Favouritism, nepotism and corruption had become the order of the day. While opposition is being dubbed as anti-national, dissent was being crushed through the coercive apparatus of the State. Members of other parties were being bullied, intimidated, threatened and persecuted to make them fall in line as it happen to be the glaring example of the political vendetta and the reign of terror this Government has started to deal with the dissent views. The farmers, the traders, the labourers, the civil society were all feeling the heat of arrogant administrators/ representatives of an authoritarian regime.
Lal Singh in a clarion call to all the general public said that once voted to power, the locals of hills and plains shall have first right on all the resources of our state and the open loot of our resources including land, mining and jobs, shall be dealt with might in all circumstances.
