UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: District Police Udhampur booked and detained a notorious criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) for his continuous criminal activities.
The accused, namely Hamraj Singh alias Tiger, son of Surinder Singh, resident of Ward number 05, Barrian Udhampur, was booked for his criminal activities in the area for which a number of cases were registered against him in Police Station Udhampur.
He had become a threat to the peaceful atmosphere and was also posing great risk to the public peace and tranquility thereby forcing authorities to detain him under J&K Public Safety Act,1978.
On the directions of SSP Udhampur, Joginder Singh, his dossier for PSA was framed and sent for detention orders. After getting necessary detention orders, Hamraj Singh was arrested by the team of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Raghubir Singh and DySP Hqrs Prehladh Kumar.
