SAMBA, Apr 5: Vice president of JKPCC and former minister Yashpal Kundal and Taranjit Singh Tony (general secretary JKPCC and DDC Suchetgarh), today reiterated the Party’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of the farming community and the eradication of divisive schemes such as the Agniveer Scheme.
They affirmed these pledges in alignment with the promises made by Rahul Gandhi during the launch of the Party’s manifesto in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing an election campaign meeting in village Chak Babral (Ramgarh, district Samba), Yashpal Kundal emphasized that the Congress Party stands firm in its assurance to provide Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce, recognizing the crucial role farmers play in sustaining the nation’s economy. He reiterated the Party’s vow to abolish schemes that sow seeds of discord and discrimination among communities.
Commenting on the prevailing challenges faced by various sections of society under the BJP-led regime, Tony remarked, “Every segment of our society is enduring hardships due to the policies of the present government at the Centre. It is evident that the promises made have fallen short, leaving millions grappling with adversity.”
The senior Congress leaders further underscored that the India Bloc remains the beacon of hope for the nation, committed to realizing the aspirations of its citizens across diverse spectrums. “Only the Congress party has the vision, the compassion, and the determination to address the multifaceted challenges confronting our country and usher in an era of inclusive progress and social justice,” they added.
As the nation prepares for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Tony urged voters to place their trust in the Congress Party, highlighting its unwavering dedication to the welfare of farmers, marginalized communities, and every individual striving for a better tomorrow.
