SRINAGAR, Feb 26: High Court today directed the Government to file its latest report regarding the regular process undertaken to appoint posts of different engineers in Public Works Department
A Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Hasnain Masoodi today directed the Government to file the latest status and issued notice to the Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary PWD and Public Service Commission.
Earlier, the a Single Bench of the High Court had quashed a Government order in which Public Works Department had placed Assistant Engineers as Incharge Superintending Engineers in their own pay and grade.
The Government has challenged the Single Bench order by way of LPA, and the demoted engineers have also filed an appeal before the Single Bench of the court.
