SRINAGAR, Feb 26: The State Constructional Workers Union under the banner of CITU held protest rallies in support of their demands, including prompt registration of constructional workers and social security benefits etc., at Anantnag and Kulgam districts.
The workers demanded registration of construction workers working at different working places be done promptly so that they are provided the incentives and are covered under social security benefits.
They also demanded enhancement in amount sanctioned from Rs. 25,000 for marriage of the construction workers, and be brought under pension and social security cover.
