Sharma demands KCC, revenue pass books for farmers

JAMMU, Feb 26: Senior Congress leader and former Legislator Ashok Sharma has demanded issuance of Kissan Credit Cards (KCC) and revenue pass books to all the farmers in the State to enable them to avail various incentives for promotion of agriculture and allied sectors as well as ensuring better management and record of their land holdings.
He said this while addressing meetings of sarpanchs, panchs and party activists at Taryath, Breavi and Kharak in Kalakote constituency of district Rajouri.
Sharma emphasized that the entire revenue record should be updated and computerized, adding that this will enhance transparency and improve management of revenue related matters facilitating the farming community.
He also pleaded for soft loan to the peasantry for purchase of agricultural implements, improved seeds, fertilizers and other inputs to increase agriculture productivity and production.
Among others present were Karamat Malik, Vijay Sharma, MY Mughal, Hans Raj Sharma, Som Raj Khajuria, Ram Parkash, etc.
