Municipal Council launches anti encroachment drive in Samba

SAMBA, Apr 6: The Municipal Council (MC) Samba launched a campaign to remove encroachments that were conducted in the main market, Main Chowk and Link Bazar of Samba. Officials said that for a long time, complaints were being received from the local people that there is often a jam situation in the market due to which they have to face lot of problems and time was wasted without any reason.
Today, under the leadership of Municipal Council, Chief Executive Officer, Varinder Paul Singh, a surprise inspection of the market was conducted in which on spot action was taken against whoever was found involved in encroachments and many shopkeepers were also warned that if next time they will be found involved in encroachments action will definitely be taken under law against them.
Chief Executive Officer, Varinder Paul Singh said the shopkeepers and street vendors that everyone should do their work by following the law so that no one faces any problem and the jam in the market can also be avoided. He urged the shopkeepers to sell their goods inside their shops and keep the footpaths empty.
