JAMMU, Apr 7: Social activist Dr Preeti Bhagat organized a free medical camp at Dablehar town of Suchetgarh assembly constituency.
During the camp, Dr Preeti and her team conducted free checkups of more than 100 patients and distributed medicines to them. Dr Preeti also gave many tips to the people to stay healthy without medicines. She advised the visiting people to follow a good routine and maintain proper eating habits to stay safe from diseases to a great extent.
People who came to the camp for checkup said that usually social organizations organize medical camps only once or twice a year, but Dr Preeti Bhagat takes out time from her busy schedule and organizes camps in some villages every week.
The villagers said that by getting checkups done in such camps, they remain aware of their health. Otherwise they do not have the facilities to get their health checkup done.
Dr Preeti said that the passion for social service has been in her mind since the beginning. “I wanted to do something for the society. This was my sole purpose to join the medical profession and now I am serving people through this profession,” she stated and added that such camps will be continued in future also.
