POONCH, Apr 7: Mughal Road, connecting Rajouri-Poonch districts with the Shopian district of Kashmir valley has been thrown open to traffic after the closure of nearly 70 days.

District Magistrate Poonch, Yasin Mohd Choudhary in an order issued here today said that in view of snow and landslide clearance from Km 19 (Dogrian) to Km 43 (Pir Ki Gali), as intimated by the Chief Engineer Mughal Road Wing and Executive Engineer, Mechanical Division, Rajouri- Poonch, the movement of one way traffic will be allowed on Mughal Road from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali and ahead from tomorrow (April 8) morning.
The order further said that SSP Poonch, SDM Surankote and DySP Traffic, Rajouri- Poonch have been asked to ensure deployment of sufficient personnel at Behramgalla, Bufliaz and Poshana Check Posts for smooth movement of traffic.
