JAMMU, Apr 8: As part of the BJP’s concerted outreach to the Sikh community ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, the J&K head of BJP Minority Morcha, conducted a series of meetings with community members across various localities.
Emphasizing the significance of supporting BJP candidates to reinforce Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Nalwa rallied Sikh voters during these gatherings.
In a symbolic gesture, the minority morcha organized a “Vijay Yagya” at Karan Market, symbolizing prayers for the victory of BJP candidates in J&K and across the nation.
Nalwa, who also oversees the party’s “Sikh Sampark” programme in J&K, didn’t shy away from taking a swipe at the Congress, accusing the party of being anti-Sikh and reminding community members of past injustices during Congress rule.
He asserted that BJP is the only well-wisher of the Sikhs and the community should morally support the party in the Lok Sabha Polls.
Engaging directly with Sikhs in Nanak Nagar’s Ward No 14, Bandu Rakh, and other locales, Nalwa reiterated the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of the Sikh community since Independence.
Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s proactive engagement with the Sikh community, Nalwa pointed to significant initiatives such as the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor and the commemoration of Sikh Gurus’ birth anniversaries.
He also referred Modi’s announcement in January 2022, designating December 26 as Veer Baal Diwas, a move lauded by the Sikh community.
