KPC, AIKPC resent Relief Organisations decision on ration coupons

JAMMU, Apr 8: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) and All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) have expressed concern over adopting of cumbersome procedure for issuance of ration slips to Kashmiri migrants by Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioners Office Jammu.
In their separate statements KPC chief, Kundan Kashmir and AIKPC working president Kuldeep Pandita and its senior leader Com Mohan Lal Raina, general secretary M K Raina objected and disagreed with the issuance of monthly ration slips to Kashmiri migrants as such system inadvertently subjects to the relief holders grave harassment and it tantamount to begging for sustenance. It not only inflicts the emotional distress but also poses practical challenges, draining their time, resources, and dignity, besides, spare them the ordeal of frequent visits to the Zonal offices, especially to old and inform during the scorching heat of Summer, the statements said.
Kashmiri and Pandita said that the ration coupons’ be issued as per the old system adopted by successive relief commissioners failing which the community will be forced to come to streets against this harassment.
