397 posts vacant in Super Specialty Hospital

JAMMU, Feb 28: The Super Specialty Hospital, which was opened with much hype by the Medical Education Department, is meeting the fate of Government Medical College Jammu as large number of posts have yet not been filled up.
Against the sanctioned strength of 819 posts, 422 posts are in position while as 397 are vacant in the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu, said the Minister for Health and Medical Education in a written reply to the question of BJP MLA, Ashok Khajuria in the Legislative Assembly today.
The Minister, however, said that Principal of GMC has been authorized to appoint the faculty members/paramedical staff on academic arrangement basis till these posts are filled up on a regular basis on the recommendations of the concerned selection agency. “The vacant posts have been referred to the selection agencies”, the Minister added.
