Various organizations for passage of Shrines Bill without dilution

JAMMU, Feb 28:  Various actual ground level working and management  committees of temples and shrines of Kashmir Valley and Hindu organizations of Jammu have urged the Government to pass the pending Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Religious Places Bill during the current session of Legislature without any dilution.
Talking to reporters here, today the leaders of these organizations demanded that each and every shrine and temple be brought under the purview of the Bill.
They warned that no management committee will let their temples to be taken over by the proposed Board and stake holders would launch a nationwide agitation to expose the double standards of the Government in this regard.
The joint press conference among others was addressed by All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) chairman Vinod Pandit, its national spokesperson King C Bharti, Kranti Dal leader Pritam Sharma, Karnail Chand of Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Sangrash Samiti, Vikas Dewan of Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena  (RSS), Girdhari Lal Bhat of Kheer Bhawani Tikkar, Soom Nath Saraf of Kapal Mochan Trust, Shopian, T K Dhar of Mata Tripur Sundari, and Yoginder Singh Jamwal of Mata Katyani & Bhoot Nath temple Kakran, they rejected the contention of those legislators who wanted that some shrines be excluded from the Bill.
They also demanded that the Bill should include the temples of Kashmir Valley and also suggested that there should be a State wide Shrine Board under which all the religious places of Hindus should be brought.
Reminding Government of his previous agitation including fast unto death Vinod Pandit warned of another agitation if the Bill was diluted while King C Bharti said that likeminded parties of Jammu and Kashmir are one on this issue.
Som Nath Saraf of Kapal Mochan said that dilution in the Bill will not be acceptable while T K Dhar of Mata Tripur Sundri listed 15 amendments in it. G L Bhat of Kheer Bhawani Tikkar suggested that Government should take into confidence those organizations who are working on ground. Yoginder Jamwal suggested inclusion of Cremation grounds in the Bill.
The management Committees have also passed an eleven point resolution in this regard.
Besides representatives of SDS Handwara, Sharda Asthapan Gund Gushi, ZDPC ,Srinagar  and Sharda Mata Trust, Kaloosa, Bandipora.
