DODA, Apr 11: General Observer for Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency (PC), Dheeraj Kumar today engaged with Micro-Observers (MOs) through virtual interaction held at conference hall of DC office complex here.
District Election Officer (DEO), Doda, Harvinder Singh, along with Deputy District Election Officer Doda, Om Prakash, CPO Doda Manish Kumar, and District Level Master Trainer (DLMT), Dr. Akhtar Hussain were also present during the session.
At the outset, DEO Doda provided a detailed overview of responsibilities of MOs.
The General Observer emphasized on the crucial role of MOs in ensuring smooth polling and urged them to stay vigilant and cautious on polling day. He stressed on the importance of submitting reports promptly and ensuring adherence to Election Commission guidelines on polling day.
Furthermore, General Observer directed MOs to handle emergency issues like disorderly conduct, malfunctioning EVMs, and non-functional VVPATs effectively. He emphasized the importance of arriving on time and ensuring clarity of control units after mock polling.
DEO Doda and Nodal Officer Training and Human Resource, also provided additional directions and guidelines for the efficient conduct of polling.
The session aimed to equip micro-observers with the necessary knowledge and preparedness for their significant role in ensuring integrity and fairness of electoral process in Doda.
