JAMMU, Feb 28: High Court today directed Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Madan Lal, to join as Joint Director at the place of his transfer within two days.
The direction was passed by the High Court while dismissing petition filed by Madan Lal challenging the Government order dated January 31, 2014 by which the petitioner has been transferred and posted as Incharge Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Department against available vacancy.
After hearing Advocate Sudershan Sharma appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Ravinder Sharma appearing for the State, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir observed, “Additional Advocate General has made it clear that Joint Director (Adm) and Joint Director Kashmir are one and the same post and promotional avenues are available equally to both and in any manner rank of the petitioner is not reduced”.
“The challenge thrown to the order impugned dated January 31, 2014 is misconceived and the interest of the petitioner is fully protected, therefore, this petition does not deserve any further consideration”, Justice Mir said. While disposing of the petition, the High Court directed the petitioner to join at the place of his transfer within two days.
