DODA, Feb 28: To prevent an environment of confusion and to carry out coordinated relief and rescue work in coordination with the civil administration and PMF during earthquake a joint disaster management exercise was conducted by the Sohanda Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Suigarh Rashtriya Rifles of Delta Force at Gundo, district Doda.
The exercise was conducted in two phases. In phase one of the exercise a brainstorming and coordinating conference was conducted on 25 February  at Gundo by the Army with police, SSB, Government Medical Authorities, Sarpanchs, SDPO and SHO to know each others strengths and limitations during launch of actual relief operations.
In Phase two the exercise was conducted at Tehsil Office, Gundo where the situation and relief and rescue was practiced by all. Prior to the exercise a lecture on First Aid and Action during Natural Calamities was also conducted to spread awareness to save precious lives. Total of 350 people  from Army 25, Police 20, SSB 12, Med 10, JKP 12 and 271 locals participated with lot of enthusiasm in the exercise.
